1. Doing Great Things For God?
What leads people to do great things for God? What is it that leads ordinary people to stand up for God in a way that stands out from the crowd? Is it their natural personality? Is it their background or training? Is it their bravery or perhaps their stupidity?
All of these things might have an influence, but if we turn to the Bible we will be told that there is one thing that is more important than all these – it is their faith. We will be told in numerous places that without a genuine faith in God a person cannot do anything to please God, yet when a person genuinely trusts God they will do things that make them stand out from the crowd.
